Checking emails first thing in the morning once you arrive at work has got to be one of the worst feelings in the world. You never know what BS is going to come through and you just have to wait anxiously while messages download. Talk about being thrown in at the deep end. First thing in the morning and you have 20 emails from clients to deal with.
I’m sure I’m not alone here. Today I’m in a bad mood but I think that’s more down to the fact that I had to go and say “yeah” to that one last pint last night. How naive.
One thing that always bugs me is sneezing. Especially at work. I do quite a lot of it because I’m fairly rubbish when it comes to the old hay fever. Busting out sneezes left, right and center.
So I’m sat here sneezing away and then a colleague chirps up and says “bless you”. So now I’m puzzled, because I’ve always been told you don’t say thanks or anything when someone says that after you sneeze. This doesn’t sit well with me though, I feel I have to acknowledge the fact that he has taken the time to bless me, if you will. I’ve been brought up to be polite so I feel the urge to thank people.
So in the end after a few seconds of thought I managed a shy “cheers” and went about my work feeling like a complete knob because I sounded so unsure. Today sneezing annoys me.
Ricky Gervais ends the blog about Karl Pilkington. A shame as it was a good read but I can understand why Karl might have not appreciated it. At least this blog about his upcoming film The Other Side of the Truth is still going.
Things have been a little bit slow here for a few days and I have a pretty solid reason for it being so. Mario Kart came out on the Wii and I haven’t really been able to tear myself away from it. Even CoD4 on the 360 has been put to one side for about a week.
I’m actually firing up CoD4 in a bid to try and remove the rust that for sure will have grown. I just hope Mario is ok while I’m away.
The campaign seems to be picking up, which is good to see. So far I think I like this one. A lot of time and effort has gone into this and I respect that.
I’m just trying to decide where I’m going to put mine. Possible ideas to explore include -
I mean, am I missing something here or is this just a waste of time and money? The sort of person to go out and spend money on a product like this would have to go in a category that can only be labelled as “idiot”. I’m sorry, but seriously?
err…yeah.
